You gave me life.

You let me wear stripes with polka dots.

And indulged my need of coloring long strips of paper, and the millions of other hobbies I would dabble in.

You never doubted my abilities.

And taught me the value of spontaneity, gratitude, and optimism.

You taught me how to be young at heart.

To my mami...

You gave life to my best friend and the love of my life.

You raised him from a goofy boy to an honorable (and goofy) man.

You find joy in life despite the trials you face.

You have retaught me what it means to serve and to forgive.

You embraced me as your own.
