I was packing our little apartment up a while back to move up the street. When I was packing up the book shelf, I couldn't help to stop and read my college journal. It definitely tugged on my heartstrings as I read my own experiences with friends, the boy that broke my heart, the one that tried and then the one that stole it forever!
And then a high school throw back I had glued in my journal. It's a photo of a sleepover a bunch of drama kids had in the school's theater. So fun to reminisce.
And a sweet letter my mom wrote me one year at my own girls camp...
I've had a journal of one kind or another since I was 6 years old. I am often surprised when I go back and read...to re-experience my sometimes shallow, sometimes prophetic insights. If you haven't started keeping a journal at this point, I highly suggest starting.
Always,

Ooh ooh ooh! I love paper journals!
I've also been keeping one since I was six. I have a whole bookshelf full. I don't revisit them often, but I like to believe that someday my kids will.
I hope that's not too humiliating when it happens.

I'm sure it won't be too bad! You'd probably be surprised at the moment of brilliance you had even as a 6-year-old!
