Kissy Face

When finances are tight, I'm grateful for the ability to draw. It makes for a little something rather than...nothing, for gifts.

Speaking of gratitude, our anniversary-day (we did a nice dinner earlier in the week) consisted of McDonald's and watching X-Men (which was awesome, btdubs) and then Nathaniel had to go to work. Nothing fancy, but I still felt warm and fuzzy and overflowing-out-the-eyeballs grateful and happy. I'm married to my best friend. I don't need anything but him.

So anywho...this is the card I drew for Nathaniel yesterday:

You like, no?

Always,

That's a great drawing, very cute! I prefer to do more low key things for anniversaries, this past year we actually had a fancy outing, but most of the time we prefer to just be together and take note of the day/exchange sweet cards. It's about US, nothing else.

Thank you! I had fun with it. I kind of wish I had done in it colored ink though...I think that would be fun. :) And I definitely agree! The best things in life are free (or simple), right?! How long have you been married?

Thanks, Hannah! I am impressed with your art skills--I have always wished I could draw. Congrats on your one-year anniversary! We just had our third--time flies!

You are so talented! Love it! Oh, and I think you will love that area (: I would go there ALLL the time- it was my favorite place actually. I lived in Moore- so it was right next door!

@Lindsay -- thank you! Drawing isn't nearly as hard as everyone makes it seem...it just takes patience, practice and a good teacher! Congrats on your third. :)

@Connie -- have I ever mentioned my mom's name is Connie? I love the name Connie for obvious reasons. :) And thank you! I've been thinking about starting an Etsy shop and sell things like the above, and some fine art portraits...what cha think? Would you buy?! We thought about moving to Moore, too! (which is fun for me because it's my maiden name!) I am WAY excited to move to Oklahoma though!

awww that's just beautiful! sometimes, just being able to be with the one who is so important to you and with the one that you love so much, is all it takes.

Btw, that drawing is just beautiful :)
